Author Biography

Maria V. Pevnaya, Ural Federal University, Yekaterinburg, Russia

Maria V. Pevnaya is a Leading Researcher at the Institute of Economics and Management in the Ural Federal University, and Head of the Department of Sociology and Public Administration Technologies. She has authored about 200 articles, book chapters, and books. She has led research projects supported by scientific foundations, including “Overcoming Non-Participation of Youth in Volunteer Activities as a Means of Forming Public Consent in the Sphere of Urban Culture Development” (EISR – RFFR, 2022) and “Project-Based Learning in the Development of Professionalism and Citizenship of Russian Students: Management Context and Creation of Transforming Agency” (RSF, 2024). In 2023, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region named her Associate Professor of the Year in the Humanities category. Her primary research interests include social policy, youth studies, social participation, volunteering, and intersectoral cooperation between government and the voluntary sector.
